B180 7G DCT CDI- Limp mode?
Hi everyone,
I am not sure the mode my car goes in is called Limp mode but here's what happens at random occassions.
I start the car, then go full throttle- the car will not rev more than 3000 and it does not change gear. it stays on 1st gear, for a long time (around 30-40seconds) then it will change gear ( whilst changing gear it doesnt feel like a normal gear change compared to when car is working normally - its like a very rapid gear change and you can feel like a knock)
if i override the automatic gearbox with the paddles on the wheel or using the button on the dash under the radio, the gear changes are not normal,
its like its not clutching between gear changes.
taken the car to MB workshop and they told me they dont see anything wrong, however they updated the gearbox software, but still the problem exists.
Please note that the problem goes away if I turn off engine and restart.
once restarting the engine the car is fine- no problems at all! but I dont know what to expect everytime I start the car!
