The folding mirrors are optional in Europe. You can order the parts but it's a $1500+ job. not worth it at all.

There are 12,060 B Classes in Canada right now.

Obviously, if it's not in the US, it's not important.

We should be getting it here soon enough, I'm looking forward to it!

2004 C230 Kompressor Sedan
Hum... chirping crickets... i agree.

I am slowly looking into the B... I'm getting ready to sell my C230K 2004 with all its upgrades (Kleemann headers.Remus can, performance sway bars, H&R Coil overs dropped 1.4 inches around, K&N, S-Class tails etc)... and yes moving to a B200 is challenging mentally...

BUT reality of my life, B Class will be a better fit for my needs (unless I found an inexpensive R... lol ).

So I will keep you updated and i journey along....

I drive a B200 BluEfficiency European version. Very rare to find one in US.

2012 MB E350 Coupe
I've recently bought one as my winter beater... and love it, however, my suggestion to anyone considering to buy B Class is get a Turbo! The standard 2L engine is... anemic... it does what needs doing, but struggles at it.

I'm OK with it. Its far away from the bigger brothers, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Compare it against the similar class, it holds its own.

Not comparing to anything, really. For decades, my father, an MB all-timer, would have issues, yes he skimped a little on servicing at the dealers, not wanting to give away his hard-earned cash to "stealerships". But still today we hear of major issues with the GL for example. My sister now wants to go for a B-Class and I'm holding her until it's clear whether it's a good Merc or not.

i had a B250 as a rental in Toronto for a week and generally speaking, it's a great car for the price. It's relatively spacious and quite decent in acceleration but of course, the material is sub-par compared to my e-class...That being said, like the previous post, you get what you paid for but if they ever bring that to the US, I would seriously consider getting one as a daily commuter..

2010 b200 turbo, 2010 E350
driving a 2010 B200 Trubo now in New Zealand. and my uncle 2013 B200 CDI got amazing torque.. compared to the 2004 E500 and 2010 E350 back in the states.. i think the b clase is more fun and economical.. since gas is freaking expensive here in NZ

btw.. any lowering spring i can get for this car? i dont see people really drop the car in NZ..

B-160
I own a merc B-160 which I bought new in 2011.
Now I am hearing noise at the gearbox. The noise accelerates and decelerates according to the speed of the car. At idling speed it is quite noisy. This problem occurs only recently. The milage now is 65000 km.
I had brought it to the car workshop and they tried changing the transmission oil and filter but the noise remains. They showed me some light debris found when they took down the filter.
What do you think is the likely problem and what option do I have?

Totally agree. Both need premium and both get the same mpg. May as well go with more power, BUT you better understand the care on a turbo (like letting it idle down before shutting down after a hard run).

That was true before the synthetic oils came along. Mineral oils would burn and sludge up the turbos as their brakedown temp was low... but now with synthetic oil you don't have to do this cool down procedure anymore.

2014 B250
Picked up my B250 last Thursday and, now, am a very happy driver. Dealer gave me floor mats as a thank you gift (small, but appreciated, gesture) and after tinting the windows today it looks like an entirely different car.
