Collision Prevention Assist vs. Pre-safe Brake?
Does anyone know what the difference is? I'm trying to figure it out from reading the various incarnations of the press release as well as the Youtube videos.
e.g. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqPGlr52xDw
e.g. Press-release re: NCAP: https://mbworld.org/forums/new-m-cla...more-merc.html

After watching http://www3.mercedes-benz.com/mbcom_...ssist/function I figured it out.
Basically Collision Prevention Assist (CPA) is just a warning system- it pops up a light on the dash when you're too close to car in front, and then sounds an audio chime if you get dangerously close. It works in conjunction with the new Adaptive Brake Assist (ABA) which automatically calculates the braking pressure required to prevent a collision and increases the brake pressure applied if the driver does not depress the brake pedal sufficiently to avoid the collision.
