Lightbulb Burger Motorsports Intake Came out!

Here's the link to it: http://www.burgertuning.com/mercedes...ce_intake.html

Any thoughts? is it worth getting ?

and you think there will be a package deal with the tune and the intake to buy together?

How much gains are we really going to see

I wonder how hard it is to install this. Hopefully Terry will have the DIY instructions out soon.

I think it's very easy to set up. Couple screws to take out the existing one and put a new one on it's place.
I wonder how does this affect the warranty? I guess you can remove it with no signs of presence, right?

don't think it will affect warranty at all. It mentions "Install takes only minutes and is fully reversible." as is the case with any plug and play.

looking forward to some feedback from buyers

IDK if Terry will do a dyno for this mod. But I'm curious to know how well it works and whether its worth it or not.

^^^ lol I am a sucker for mods, I already placed an order. From my personal experience, intake systems = more air sucking in, and less restriction. The good thing is with this system we get to keep the tubing before the OEM Airbox. This is a big plus for cooler air to the engine.

Also Terry did say he dyno tested this on his 250 sedan.

Funny that you say top end power and others say low end power. I don't know who to believe lol. Or whether or not the power gain is actually noticeable.

^^^True. I retract my last comment. I was looking at BMS intake and realize it not a WAI (Warm Air Intake) as BMS kept all of the OEM piping up to the Air Box. Since the OEM piping is still there sucking in cooler air, the Cone Filter is essentially working as a CAI (Cold Air Intake). Gains could probably be made throughout the power-band. I am going to ask Terry if he can post the dyno, since the intakes are now public.

Is that a BOV that I hear in the vid? I'm sure the stock BOV doesn't make that noise. Can someone confirm?

Roll down your windows, from stop, accelerate moderately quickly to about 2-3K RPM, let go of accelerator quicky, you will hear the hissing on your stock c250
