In the last month I have started having a problem with my C230K coupe , I am running out of gas with between 6 and 8 gallons of actual fuel remaining in the tank . The fuel gauge is showing what appears to be accurate readings. I drive about 200 miles a day and have been filling up each morning but I need to get this fixed... I have a few questions.

1.) How is the fuel pump accessed? and what steps are involved in dropping the tank.

2.) In photos I see the pump encased in a plastic housing with an external plastic tube,, if this tube is loose or damaged will this cause my problem?

3.) If the actual plastic encasement is damaged is it interchangeable with other W204's ?
