K & N Air Filters For C-350
Hey All,
So here is my dilemma, I like how my C-350 sounds just that I would like for it to have more of a growl to it. Now, i know installing an X pipe would be my best bet, but this car is a lease and i would not want to take the chance since these parts will clearly still be installed when i have them perform the various maintenance's. I do not want the stealership bitxhing and moaning when time comes to return the vehicle as they note everything on the vehicle when it comes in for servicing. With that said, i came across this air filter replacement from K & N. This air filter supposedly "helps" with acceleration but i highly doubt that. I was wondering, do any of you guys with the 350 think this air filter will help improve the cars sounds similar to how a true CAI would? And if any of you have found a site or components to build an intake that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking as i hope to hear back from some of you guys. Here is the link for the air filters: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?prod=33-2985

I have installed the K&N filter on my '13 C350. I did not do it for the sound. I just prefer to use a reusable filter. With proper maintenance, you will not experience MAF fouling due to oil getting on the sensor.
With that being said, I really didn't hear any difference in sound or notice quicker acceleration. If there any increases, it would have to be very minimal at best.

Typically with a K&N you're really only going to see 5 or so hp gains and if there is a sound difference, it'll only be slight and noticeable by you. I'd use it in conjunction with other performance mods which don't exist for us, unfortunately.

X-PIPE DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY....IF A MEMBER HERE STATES THAT IT VOIDED HIS WARRANTY, I WILL PERSONALLY PAY THEY'RE EXHUST REPAIR BILL. GET A DAM X-PIPE....YOU WILL 100% ENJOY IT, AND ONCE YOU HAVE IT, YOUR GONNA SLAP YOURSELF IN THE FACE FOR NOT GETTING IT EARLIER!!!!!!
First of all, this is Mercedes. Not Toyota. If under warranty, these bustards take care of everything. A shoe got caught in the seat track of my 2-door c coupe, and they replaced the entire seat and door control panel for free!!

Since your car is a lease, be aware that you will have to return it back to original (reinstall action of original exhaust if you choose to install an x-pipe) once your lease is over. The dealer will do a complete inspection and they will discover any items that were not original.
I have installed an x-pipe and I have been happy with it, but in my case, it was a purchase not leased.
