Anyone here tuned their C-350?
Hello all,
I've been looking into tuning my C-350, and I think I have made the choice to go with eurocharge. I was just curious and would like to know if anyone here has tuned their 350 and what tune did you go with and why? I know there aren't many who have tuned their 350, but to those who have your input would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from anyone with a tune who can shed some light. Thanks for reading.

Do a search as there are a few members who've done a bit of work to their C350's in the past and maybe you can locate their threads which might help.
2 that come to mind are "Blinkling" & "Capt_Paul" (hopefully got the names right)
I havn't seen posts from those 2 in some time so don't know what they're up to these days.
Hope that helps as unfortunately these days this C204 forum section is full of adds and nothing much else

Av1, thanks. Didn't think I would ever get a reply in this thread. I did do a search and I do think blinkling has a tune but not capt_paul. I will have to do another search though. I even pm'D eurocharged and they have yet to get back to me . Guess time will tell. I'd like to have done the tune rather sooner than later, but I'll have to wait and see. Thanks for the reply once again av1

No worries, hopefully you'll find what your looking for
Unfortunately as said this sub forum section does not have much activity these days, it was a different story a couple of years ago though lots of everyday active members with all manner of related threads, it seems most members may have moved on as it would appear most people don't own their car but are leased or company vehicles so maybe only short term ownership I'm definitely a keeper of my C204 Coupe love this car and own it outright
I tend to spend most of my forum time in the AMG sections, I'm in the market for one of those in future and most of those forum sections have lots of activity not adds piled up at the top of the threads.

Honestly, my car is a lease as well. But i have it for another 2 years, so i figure why not enjoy it when i can. And i am honestly more on the AMG section of the forums as well since i plan on leasing an AMG next. This section is just no longer active from what it used to be. Hopefully in the future it will see more action.

It's really too bad there's not more activity here. There are very few of us out there with the C204 and the online community is fragmented between mbworld and benzworld. I visit reddit.com/r/mercedes_benz often, but it's not specific to our car.

It may be due to the lack of performance enhancements for the N/A V6 of this model, but keep trying.
Have you tried all the other German tuners such as Brabus, Kleeman, Carlsson, Weistec etc.
There should be at least one flash tune available from one of those companies

I'm more then likely going to go with this tuning this Summer for my C350.

In my area they have a great rep. Just haven't decided on which exhaust I want to use.

To be honest, this car is a lease and i have it only for another two years. So, i will probably just do the tune now and enjoy the vehicle. Cant wait so much longer for headers you know. And, i will definitely am going with Eurocharged. Sending ECU out this week or early next!

If I understand correctly, generally with powerful tunes, people need to err on the side of caution and maintain their tuned cars more regularly due to the accelerated wear and tear caused by the jump in power.
Although these tunes for our cars don't cause a huge jump, would there still be any noticeable acceleration of wear and tear to specific components of the engine? Or is the jump in power just not enough?
By the way ShazV6, very interested to see your input on the tune itself. Keep us updated!

So guys, after an hour and a half of driving i would like to give my impressions on the tune by Eurocharged.
First and foremost i have to say thanks to Eurocharged. Jake customer service was phenomenal. He answered all questions that i had with pleasure; and his responses were quick and accurate. There is no doubt that i will continue to give him business if i can or refer many to him and the company itself. Now, onto to tune.
Wow, talk about responsiveness!!! There is absolutely no lag as Eurocharged said there would be. The power is definitely there and it is definitely noticed. First to second at WOT is very aggressive, it puts your head back. Second to third, boy did that extra power from the tune and quick shifting from the trans help out a lot. Third to fourth, once again the extra torque and power and the help of the transmission quicker shifting help greatly. The only issue that i was hoping to help be a bit faster ( not disappointed at all here, but being honest) is when driving in manual mode with the paddle shifter. Lets say shifting at 4500 rpm in third gear for example there is still a little bit of hesitation. It is definitely more aggressive after the tune though. As i said, just a little bit of disappointment. I must say, that after the tune the car just pulls much more aggressively. I love the fast shifting from first to second when i am in WOT. If there is anyone who is considering the tune, do not hesitate on proceeding. It is well worth the money as it puts a smile on my face. As a matter of fact, i am going to head back out again to take it out for another drive. The extra hp and torque is definitely noticeable. Dyno hopefully to come on Saturday as well. Anyone have any questions to ask me, please feel free to do so.

ShazV6, thanks so much for the update! Initially, I really wasn't even thinking about tuning this car as the engine is N/A so I thought, what's the point? After reading your review though, I am very tempted to pull the trigger on this as I still can't get used to the lag from the throttle response (I'm used to BMW's low end power).
Is the throttle response changed for both "E" and "S" modes? Is there a way to tune the "S" mode to have the better throttle response but keep the "E" mode as is? Reason being for the times where you just want to take it easy and drive slow without being so sensitive with the peddle...maybe someone from Eurocharged can chime in.

Allen,
To be honest, I never drive this car in E mode so I could not tell you. And it's snowing like crazy here so I won't be able to take the car out (rwd). I believe someone from eurocharged would best answer your question. But I'm really happy and excited with the tune. Definitely worth it. Time for track and dyno numbers this weekend!
