2012-57k miles, hard idle w/ check engine light on

2012-57k miles, hard idle w/ check engine light on
when I was in traffic today, I stopped and my car started to shake at idle and the check engine light started to blink. The car was warm, running for 20-30 min.
When I hit the gas to proceed, the light went from blinking to stable "on". It looked like the rpm meter was jumping back and forth slightly while at idle. I pulled over and shut the car off for a min and restarted and the shaking stopped and the light is now off. I'm 700 miles away from my next service and i believe MB recommends replacing the spark plugs at 60k Mile service. Could that be it?
Any ideas? Or common problems with 2012 c350 that this could be associated with? I bought it as a CPO in august 2015 so if something is wrong I'd like to get it in before the warranty runs out.

I would call your dealer and ask them to look at the car asap. That's not normal behavior obviously. Sounds like something in your ignition system.
