It is the 722.6 aka 5Gtronic. Any 5Gtronic from a 4 cylinder should bolt up

The XX numbers (722.6XX) dont matter?? Cuz with the info you kindly gave me I'm planning on finding a vehicle that fits the criteria you gave and scoop it up.
Also are there any from a V6 that will go in no problem that you know of? (just to give me more options) |

Specifically you have the 722.605, but as long as the bellhousing matches you should be fine, for the most part they denote different slight changes. The V8 and V12 ones are stronger and wont bolt up though. As far as I know the 4 cylinder transmission all have the same gear ratios.
Users on MB world have recommended these guys before http://mercedesdismantlers.com/2500%207226.htm |
