1999 C230 Low side port for A/C
Does anyone have a picture of where this port is? I have read so many descriptions, looked up, down and sideways. Even the mechanic couldn't find it. There is a black capped gizmo sitting behind the compressor, but the size is wrong so it must be the high side. Appreciate any help!!
I see two other people were looking for it, one guy had over 1000 views with no reply!

Wow, a picture, excellent!
But, I connected to that one with my A/C Pro (black can) and the adapter doesn't fit which told me that's the high side? Where is the other connector then, there must be a high and low, right?

Will have to play around tomorrow. Bought the same can a few months back, had trouble remembering where I connected it.
Will check tomorrow morning. I did find it once, and I thought that was it. The can connected differently than my previous version. Just pushed it straight on, not like the older quick connects.
Will take a photo tomorrow with the connector connected to the right one, if that is not it.

Connected up this AM, that one is the low pressure side. The A/C Pro one connects just by pushing straight down, no need to pull back the bottom of the quick connect. Only do that to release it.
I have only looked for the high pressure port on my Jeep, and the high pressure port is quite noticeably larger there.
Anyway, as promised, here is the photo.
Doubt they are much different, but mine is a 2000 C230 K. They are very similar, but I doubt the AC and engine bay layout are too much different. One obvious difference may be the black pipe the can is leaning on, that is repositioned in 2000 as it passes by the intercooler first.
Mine was barely blowing mildly cool, but after the charge, is super cold.
Good luck,
Paul

Paul solved my problem
Thank you so much; for being quick, providing pictures and being exacting! So many times people go round and round. Pictures speak a thousand words Paul. I had to mess around with the connector is all. It is freezing COLD now!

What type of refrigerant it takes ? R134A or R134A+ will work ? Do I need any conversion kits /
Thanks

R134a has been standard since the mid 90's, so I doubt the previous owner(s) did anything.
The coolant I used just indicates R134a, I believe the + indicates something added to standard R134a, which the one I used likely does as it has lubricant and leak stop additive.
It is still working great, which is more than I can say for my Jeep, I need to take that in as it is more than just low.

I heard that they are going to stop selling R134 after Jan 1st so it might be worth stocking up a few cans.

Remove the Windows Washer bottle (1 x 10mm plastic bolt then pull it up). You will see the low pressure port almost where the AC hose connects to the AC compressor.
