no overdrive w/o cruise control (sometimes)
Sometimes my 1998 c230 will not shift into 5th gear w/o using the cruise control. The car goes up through the gears and just does not want to shift up into 5th w/o setting (just a flick) of the cruise control. Then it shifts up into 5th. You can turn off the cruise control and then it will run normally, shifting in and out of 5th (as needed).
