Multiple Lights on the Dash

Hi guys I posted this problem a long time ago to no avail so I'll give this another shot. Sorry for the story but trying to be detailed.
I have a 96 c220 and I have a weird problem. Sometimes when the car is hot, if I start it up after turning it off for a few minutes(to go to the store or similar) a number of my dash lights will come on.They are the Abs, parking brake light and brake pad light light. Also when this happens my speedometer will not function. If I stay below say 40 mph the car will function fine and very rarely, the lights will turn off after a min. Now if I go high speed(highway) and then get off and come to a complete stop then there is a chance the car will completely shut off. I know this is happening because at that moment ALL of the dash lights come on and the car cuts off power completely until I restart it. It restarts fine but the lights stay on.
ANY info would be appreciated. FWIW this seems to be more of a problem in the summer time (Florida) so that could be part of it.

Oh man that sounds like a lot of trouble! In this case, since it's not just 1 or 2 lights coming on, maybe taking it to a professional and just paying the $80 diagnostic fee would be better and more reliable than trying to figure it out yourself.
