98 C280 Air conditioning not working

Its getting hot out there in Southern Ontario!! Car:1998 C280. I see alot of posts regarding AC problems but havent found anything I can check easily myself. I recently had the engine replaced and AC didnt work at first, no pressure. Mechanic charged the system and it ran for a while but no more. It may just be low on R134, but still shows over 2bars,not sure if thats enough. I think it was 4 plus bars after the recharge. Heres my codes if someone in the know can see any numbers out of whack. I got the codes with engine off(onfor some) and setting temp to LO and pressing REST button till 01 flashed on display.

The things that stood out for me are
1. is 07 code is coolant pressure so is2.4 ok?
2.05 code (evap temp sens) is at 54 C without even running?
3. code 54 shows the ac compressor emergency off singnal from engine ctrl module as off(if i have the right code list). Is that right?

d/s=degrees symbol

01=24 d/s C
02=20 d/s C
03=25 d/s C
05=54 d/s c
06=21 d/s at first and climbs to ~56 after a couple minutes of engine running time
07=02 d/s 4
08=20 d/s
09 -9 flashes first then 10 d/s C flashes
10=495
20=00
21=00(when engine off of course)
22=
23=000
24=11.8 when engine off/13.7 when running
40=02
41=03
42=02
43=6-C
50=22
51=Lo
52= -2 followed by 10 d/s S
54=OFF

05 Evaporation tempertur is broken. It was replaced by a new Version that should have better resistance against water.

07 condensing pressure
If the System is not runnig, the pressure corresponds to external temperature. 2,4 bar means -5°C. But as your outside temperature is around 20-25°C (pressure should be around 6 bar) I think your System is leaking or sensor is damaged.

54 is caused by 07 low value.

Thanks for your post popey24. When you say "Evaporation tempertur is broken." are you refering to the evaporator or the sensor?
