99 C280 Electrical Problem.
I just bought a 99 C280 for my daughter. It was garage kept an in very well condition.
Previous owner told me that car the needs some kind of a fuse under the driver seat (fuse 4 or something) so if he doesn’t drive the car for a few days the battery drains. He installed an on/off switch on the battery to disconnect it when he is not using it. I hate electrical problems and realize it can be so complicated to resolve a simple issue.. long story short I rolled the dice and purchased the car. She has been driving it like a week with no problems, all seats and windows work as advertised.
I did notice the “key in the ignition” chime going while all doors are closed, which should not chime while the doors are closed and the door light is either on or off.. it doesn’t set to dim out when you close the doors.
I’m just looking for ideas for a starting point.
Thank you all in advance
