I recently found a c280 sport that Im going to look at on monday, Im curious if it may have self leveling xenons?, because I noticed it has headlamp washers which Ive never seen on a c280, and makes me think it may have xenons as well. Was this a option offered on the c280? I don't want to ask the guy cause it may be more ammo for him to hold on his price.

Here's the car: Its a 2000 Model.

I believe the C280's did have the factory Xenon option. It's rare but out there. That being said the Headlight Wipers were also an option on non-Xenon cars.

That is a C280 Special Edition. I had the same car (which my son now has). The SE cars were produced at the last of the W202 model run and included several option packages like the Sport Package, CD Player/Integrated Phone Package, Nappa leather with contrasting stitching, etc. Headlight washers were not included. The could be ordered as Package C1 - Heated headlight washers and rain sensing windshield wiper. There is also a Special Order Option for Xenon HID headlamps with auto leveling. Just because the car has the headlight wipers does not mean it has HIDs. They were separate options.

Thanks guys, Vince C, you seem to know quite a bit about the options. I wonder if there is a factory list that could be dug up listing all the W202 options available back in the day, would be cool to see. Anyways, checked out the car today, seems to be very well kept. Only issue is a sagging moonroof cover, but the guy will not budge on his price, going to see if my buddy can check it out at his shop this week.

At one time I had all the binders that MBUSA issued to dealers each model year. They included all the option info. I gave them away a number of years ago. I still have model year brochures for 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. To put a list together I would have to transcribe them to a Word doc or similar.
