I pulled the MAF out yesterday to spray it with a cleaning solution on it. After i did that and reinstalled it, I started the car up and went to drive it and it went into that "limp home mode" where it will just idle and any throttle at all just causes the car to stall, well lets put it this way it won't take throttle at all. So then I tried to disconnect the MAF but then the car would just die. Did I ruin the MAF by cleaning it? What do you think guys? Appriciate all the help I can get!

Is the car run better before cleaned MAF..?, and what kind of MAF cleaner do you used..??

Thanks for the reply. The car runs much worse after cleaning the MAF. When I press the throttle it doesn't wanna rev, and seems to lose a lot of power. And when I was driving after cleaning MAF it barely went over 10-20km/h. I turned off and on the engine several times, and one of the times it almost went back to normal, driving 40-50km/h. But when i took my foot of the throttle it lost all power again.

I used an electronic cleaner, which I bought at the local home depot store.

Many things could cause thi kind of power lose,

"CPS/TPS/TB/MAF/spark plugs/coils/fuel pump/fuel filter"

which M/Y of your C180..?, do you have a chance to diagnostic the car..??, codes will helps a lot to narrow the issue..!

It's a 99 model. I bought a new MAF replacement, and now it's all good. Thanks for the replys and help
