2000 C280 Sport with milky foam oil fill cap
Hey everybody, new guy here. Have a 2000 C280 Sport with 99000 in great shape till today. Changed the oil and filter last week with Mobile ! Synthetic and a dealer filter noticed foamish gunk on the oil filler cap. Cleaned it all off and alls good. Today I was sitting at a red light and saw a little steam coming from the hood. Turned around and went home. A small amount of anti freeze was seen but could not find a leak. No smoke from the tail pipe, oil looks fresh on the dip stick but saw alittle milky foam on the oil fill cap again. My question is besides cracked head or bad head gasket what could be making the oil fill cap produce the milky film. Moisture yes, but how???

Yikes! Sounds like my car now. It's been cold lately though, so I haven't had much issues with it overheating yet. Changed the oil on her and it was milky on the cap too though.

I'm afraid that oil is mixing with water, when the oil cooler seals goes bad, water will mix with oil,
that will affect directly to the head gasket & breather hoses went away,,
did you see oil or smell burning oil inside Radiator Expansion tank..?

I am unsure if it is getting to that point yet.
I haven't checked the radiator yet. I had a mechanic friend look at the car for me to see if it was becoming an issue (over heating) and he said it's nothing right now. He didn't see anything under the oil cap and checked some other stuff.
