1999 White c280--LOVE it but need some advice

Hey guys! I have a 99 c280 that I've fell in love with these last couple of months.

I got it for a pretty good deal and now am possibly thinking of selling it for a 98 AMG c43....

WHat are your thoughts? I found a good deal on a C43, 110k miles and 8k. May try and get it for 7k. Does that sound right?

Anyone have pics of white c280s modded? If I kept this I would probably just get an AMG or replica front bumper, rear, fogs and side skirts along with muffler.

Is that common to do or do most folks just get a genuine one? And for the emblem on the back, would I need to repaint to shave the c280 or is that stuck on? Would have to be a poser lol so would leave the trunk blank besides the MB symbol. Thoughts?

Edit: Forgot to mention there is the beginning of slight rust on the back passenger door, SLIGHT rust, there and at the sunroof. SLIGHT bubbling..won't be an issue most likely but may think of getting this fixed if I decide to go the 'replica' route.

I think 8K is more steep for C43..!,

C43 is an AMG baby, and completely differ world than all W202's,,

i like 98-2000 C280, it's a comfort car, with less issues..

Thanks, Zayed! It is a pretty comfy car. Just has some 'little issues'.

The light is burned out for the climate control and the car has a slight 'shake' at stop lights almost like maybe a motor mount is maybe going bad.

Anyone have any idea what that could be? She also seems to be running a tad bit hot. It's like 30ish degrees out here, but on warmer days the needle goes from 80-85ish aka above the middle of th temp guage. Should I be worried?

I saw the fan doesn't turn on til 85, so I am assuming that's normal.

Yeah, 80>>85 is normal, you have control module that operates the fans with A/C on, or if temp. reaches to 90,

*do you have Electrical Engine fan, or Mechanical clutch fan..?

many things causes that stop light shakes: air leak/bad spark plugs/bad coils/dirty fuel filter/bad Engine mounts/bad tranny mounts,,

soo easy to replace the climate control bulb:-

Thanks! I think I am going to have it checked out by a friend who's a mechanic.

Do you or anyone know what bumper, rear bumper, sideskirts and foglights these are?

Thanks man! I am looking at that kit and the one on the car above, while VERY similar...they still are different.

Regardless though, thanks for looking into it for me. I may still go wiht that kit if I can't find which one the car above is using.

So I have the ability to get soe AMG 18s in 18x9 and 18x8's but they are at best fair condition. A good amount of curb rash and damage. What would yu say they are worth without tires?

Or shall I say what are they worth now?
