Universal Car Cover Recommendation
Don't want to drop $$$'s on a custom fitted car cover so I'm looking for a semi-custom fit for my car.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good quality cover made out of preferably Kimberly Clark (Noah, Technalon, etc.) material.
Thanks!

It's a sort of a "get what you pay for" situation.
I have purchased several made in China car covers over the years on Ebay.
Within months, if not being used just for storage reasons, they seem to fall apart. Bad material and construction, plus a few of them looked like a tent covering a baseball. No mirror pockets or aerial cut outs (if needed) License plate exposure, which in some States is mandatory if parked outside of a garage in public view.
I changed my "lets save a buck attitude" and bought OEM covers where available.
The 2 I have now are about 7 years old, and as good as new.
I do wash them every 3 or 4 months with soap and water to get any grit out, and it hasn't affected the durability.
When you look at the economics over the long term, 1 cover of quality is cheaper than buying 4 or 5 cheapos.
That is my opinion!

Get the fitted cover. The problem with universal covers, besides the quality issue) is that they tend to flap and move around on the car in even a light breeze. The paint gets damaged as a result.

You guys are absolutely right but I was planning on selling the car soon so didn't want to drop $'s on a cover.

Then why waste any money on a cover?
Find a place that sells primarily construction materials, and they should have rolls of black plastic they sell as vapor barrier. Cheap by the yard.
If there is a discount fabric (end of rolls etc) close at hand, you can get cheap cotton generally for backing.
Cover with the cotton, and put the plastic over top and you have a reasonable cover that will last for a few years.
You need to tape the corners down for wind, and for around $20.00 your in business, if all your after is weather protection.
Not very pretty, but it works

Cause I can't stand seeing any car I own take a beating from the elements, even if I plan to sell it.

Being formerly from the 50th State, I know what you're up against . . . and now I live in AZ. In HI, a car cover is mostly for solar exposure, however if you're near the water, salt spray and "hard water" spotting from sprinklers are also issues. A good generic cover will work, just be sure that it has a soft inside liner to prevent surface scratching, tweak the fit where necessary with fabric tape and consider an under chassis cable lock to prevent theft and keep it on the car during those pesky tradewind days.
