Do you have a general idea where it came from?

I had the brake booster replaced last month. While looking in this area I found this bracket A 202 545 56 40 BRACKET AT BRAKE BOOSTER. I found it crushed underneath my brake booster. What is it used for and how is it correctly used and placed?
Tanks

1 thought and 1 suggestion.
The clip is worth $1.50, so I don't think it's a major part. There is no parts explosion (Diagram) on the internet that shows the clip and it's placement.
My thought is, it goes on the back of the booster to help keep the booster vertically level against the firewall. That is a guess at best.
My suggestion is to contact Zayed through to web site, and ask him.
He seems to have a better than average working knowledge.
Good luck

If you read the inquiry, it was posted by Banhoff. No indication where he is located, so that doesn't help when finding a part. If he isn't in North America it could take hours.
Also, he said he found the part after he had the brake booster changed, so that was the logical area to check the diagrams and part numbers. Nothing showed in that category.
So, I am doing Banoff's homework, and now I am interested enough to dig around an find it, and it's application. Maybe I should get him to do it?
