C230 replace engine?
This is for my 2000 c230k
It has developed a possible headgasket issue, getting exhaust in the coolant, eventually pushing out all the coolant out.
Have found a couple of motors by LKQ and others starting at $480, figured it would be easier than doing the headgasket since who knows what else has gone wrong by now too, like a cracked head or block.
How hard is the R&R? I searched both here and Google and have not found any good help. I figure just start unplugging stuff, loosen then tranny, exhaust, and motor mounts and motor comes out? Reverse and done, right?
Any help is appreciated, thanks

why not just remove the heads and replace the gaskets and go from there? As long as it hasn't over heated nothing should be warped.

Dollarwise, if they do have those for that price, it's about the same since a the valve job and parts would add up to that. If there is a crack, then there is all of that lost labor, and the motor still has to come out.
If the motors were more expensive it would be different
