My 1998 C280 with manual seats makes very annoying creaking noises coming from the drives seat when accelerating etc. Sometimes if I adjust the seat back angle I can reproduce the sound. So before I remove seat from vehicle and check it out I figured I'd ask the forum. Any advice gratefully accepted. PS Merry Christmas

You have 18 years of use and you only have a random creaking noise---wow I'd be pissed too and would complain directly to the MB managing director asking for new seats!!

Try some PTFE on the moving parts and where the leather touches the side trim panels.

To Television, Thanks for your advice I will lube up the sliding parts when I remove the seat and check and tighten any loose bolts etc. To Plutoe, I emailed MB as you suggested and they said you were a rude piece of female genitalia, Have a nice day.
