jumping idle

hey guys, i have a c280 1994 w202. To start my car i have to give it a little trottle, it wont start only with the key, also the idle is jumping between 500-1000 rpm when the engine is at optimal heat.

There was some error codes for the throttle actuator when they read it, but dont have them atm(will ask for them next week when i get my new clockspring)
So i would like to ask you guys if you had any similar problem and how do you fixed it.
Would a cleaning help my throttle actuator, should i look for a replacement?

Thanks.

Being a 1994 my money is on the throttle body. Cleaning will do nothing as the issue is with the wiring and the crumbling insulation causing the throttle body to short.

thanks. wathced a bunch of videos at youtube.com/user/vsandvs, since he repaired many of these and seems like its going to be wiring or potentiometer, but getting the error codes next week to make sure.
Seems like its gonna be a harder/more expensive issue to fix than i first tought.

not a merc
Yes. Most likely the engine harness. Do that first then you may need a throttle body rebuild
