My hood emblem got ripped!
Wow, it only took two months of Mercedes ownership to get my hood emblem ripped off. The previous owner stated she owned the car for 18 years without anyone messing with it.
Anyhow, after the initial "burn-in-hell-you-punk" reaction I got a good chuckle out of it as I've always heard about this phenomenon. Anyhow, picked up a new one for $20 bucks. We'll see how long this one lasts.
I'm guessing I'd get sued if I hooked the ignition coil to it or they beat the ever living crap out of the Mercedes after they got over the shock.
p.s. The vehicle was parked in a fairly upscale shopping center when it happened. I assume punks cruise the parking lots after dark looking for emblems to steal.
