1998 C280 W202 > Bank 1 misfires
Trying to own a Benz on a budget. Is it unwise to replace only one bank of wires and spark plugs, if only one bank is showing codes for misfires in cylinders 1,2,3? I've been quoted $497.92 for replacement of both banks of wires and plugs. I'm likely to replace them myself, at that price, but wondering if replacing only one side is a bad idea.

it's probably ok, but might be the coil packs. see if you can get some from the junk yard or flip them from the other side. Pull out all the plugs and see if you can tell whats going on first. make sure you blow out those holes before you pull out the plugs. awesome way to screw up your cylinders if you don't.

Missfire
It's easy to verify a clogged cat with no parts just remove the exhaust pipe right out of the header pipe. It's 2 13 mm bolts. Also it's the pass side where 1,2,3 are.
