1999 c 230. was driving around, and then it would not go out of first. we checked the wiring harness, cleaned the oil off, checked the computer that is under the floorboard, it was dry. we replaced Transmission Valve Body with conductor plate. cleaned all oil and crud off everything. Checked the switch under the gas pedal. did a reset for shifting. Now still getting the same codes, even after clearing them ..what are we missing??? drives great! just never leaves first gear....

Was the conductor plate a new one or one you grabbed from a junk yard-----additionally did you ever clear the faults before starting the car!!-----if yes what faults returned??

The plate was OEM Mercedes. WE bought a used Valve body from a ebay parts store. All codes were cleared using the code reader, and the codes in the above post photo returned...715....This is the same issue before the transmission repair.

is there a place on the reader that reads just transmission codes? I chose real all codes and cleared all codes..

If you are still receiving the 0715 and 0720 faults--the job is a do over as you bought crap on ebay---go OEM and live long and prosper---else you will be back whining again!!
