C 250 TD W202
New Member needs Help!!! Air in Diesel lines. Tried everything. cant figure it out!!!

Just got my hands on a mint garaged c250 td. Al is great. Except diesel system. After a few weeks of noticing no power on load. Feels sluggish. And started dripping diesel. From pump transparent hoses. Also behind shut off valve. Changed O rings, new pipes in fuel feed and return lines, tank lines, to feed line, etc new O ring for prefilter,
The air is visible from prefilter downwards. So no luck!!! The car starts fine, no funny noises, it just will not pull on load. Only sometimes at 2000 rpm it stutters and then pulls great. Can not figure it out. Please help!!!

Unfortunately very common on the c250td, and it sounds like you have air where I am getting it now which is out and down from the fuel filter and or pre filter.

If you have replaced every O-ring in the system including the fuel cutoff end caps(aftermarket seals and drill press to press on required or buy a whole new valve) ,and seal between cutoff and pump, pre filter seal(which is under hose mount),after all this it could be the alloy bracket that holds the fuel filters, these can be porous also the mating surface for the fuel filter seal is not machined, which may or may not add to the issue. Recently I have replaced mine and machined the filter seal surface smooth. but its too early to confirm fixed.
