Perhaps the strut to hub bracket is different from Splinters, there is NO way it'd fit in my model year (2006. Snuck a peek at an 07 and it was the exact same situation). The bolt hole wasn't big enough for the small inner tab, nor would the bracket even have allowed 360 degree rotation.

Going to return the set to O'reily and use the $30 towards 2 of the fluted bolts.

Yes, the SPC eccentric fasteners require minor dressing in order to facilitate proper fitment.
I regret the omission.

Splinter, Can you share some information on what "dressing" procedure you did and when adjusting the camber bolt, what procedure do you use to correct the toe change when adjusting the bolts? I will be getting a camber gauge to adjust the camber for track use and reset for street driving.

I have the SPC eccentric bolts along with the C55 springs and dampers ready to install.

Tia,
Wayne

I've just purchased the SPC eccentric bolts and found out they DO NOT FIT, wasted my time.
I was expecting to adjust my camber for the coming TD but it look like i dont have time now as the SPC bolts are crap and dont work.

If anyone has a installation guild please let me know, as it doesn't fit in any of the holes.

I agree with your findings. The bolt hole requires grinding out which I refuse to do, plus the camber bolts are 4mm narrower, not safe imho. My mechanic agreed. I scrapped the SPC bolts and purchased the KMAC camber bushings.

I got 81260 from SPC.

The small inner tab on the washer will NOT go inside the bolt hole.

Even if it would, the design of the strut bracket won't allow the tabbed washer to rotate 360 degrees to dial in camber.

This is a $30 piece of crap.
RedStripe. How did you come to believe that the SPC product would work in the MBZ? Does the SPC fit chart show the benz?. A smaller diameter bolt might work, BUT that would dramatically weaken the bolt and bolt failure might occur. Not much metal can be removed from a 14 mm bolt without significally weaken it. If the bolt failed, the front end might fall apart. The SPC product is for adjustment from the strut end that has a extra bolt as a back up (2 bolts). I will not trust any weaken bolt where it is the sole fastener.

My Bad, Funning my SPC chart does not have it as a fit but some other sites have it as a MBZ fit. SPC does have some 2/3 like bolts that are said to be adjustment bolts, but with that mucha significant amount of metal gone and only one bolt holding the control arm at the pivot, are you willing to trust it?

Just to fully verify, the eccentric bolts go on the lower control arm to adjust camber. Your forward control arm adjusts caster?

Largely correct.

However the position of each arm does slightly affect the adjustment of the other. There is a table of positions that show, for each combination of upper and lower bolt positions, what the caster and camber adjustment both are.
