Freebees during first year of ownership?

Hi,

I recently took my C230K (2005 w/4K miles) in to the dealership as it was drifting to the right and I wanted them to check to make sure the alignment was correct.

My service advisor told me that I'm entitled to a free alignment during my first 12 months of ownership, so I was happy to find out the wouldn't be any charge, however this makes me wonder what else I might be entitled to for free during my first year of ownership.

I know that the 2004 and earlier models had free maintenance during the 4 year warranty period, but they dropped that with the 2005 and later models, but I did not realize that I could get some work done for free.

Anyone have a laundry list of things that new MB owners are entitled to?

you should have a little maintenance booklet. in there it says what you got free and where and when you should have your services done.

What kind of high-tech blinker needs "blinker fluid"???
Is it an option?

All joking aside...

KickR, I checked my maintenance schedule book and the only FREE items are the initial inspection between 1000-3000 miles and the first tire rotation anytime up to 6500 miles, although on the C230K SS you CAN'T rotate the tires because the front and rear are different sizes, doh!

So I guess I'll just give my service advisor a call and ask her what else (besides the allingment) is free

Do you need a reason for them to check the alignment?
Do they check it for free even if you don't have uneven wear on the tires?
If it's the case, as well take it right before the end of the first year, just to make sure everything is OK....in case later you find out you really need one...
A lot of you guys do the free alignment thing?

Well... I don't know if you NEED a reason, I actually had one, but I suppose you could just tell them, you think it's pulling to the right or to the left and let them check it out for you.
