C320 just turned 100K miles (160,927 KM)

Despite all the early problems the car has definitely improved with age. Gas mileage is better than it has ever been (26.5 mpg average) and there are still no rattles. Power feels no different from new and the only visible signs of wear are the highway paint chips. Cabin noise has remained the same and there is no measurable oil consumption. No more electric problems other than bulbs burning out. What use to be a nice driving car with problems is now just a nice driving car. Was looking to replace it but now I think I'll keep it longer. Never had a car that went from problematic to stable before.

Good to hear they can make it that long. I've owned several MBs and most are troublesome the first year, sloppy manufacturing standards but once all the first year problems are fixed these cars can last a long time. Had a W201 in the family for 200K miles.

my 05 230 SS has about 27k and knock on wood i got no problems...just reg maintence...oil change, tires, brakes! and for some reason my rear went bald before the front did...i have about 50% left in the front still and the rear was bald...usually the front wears out quicker. and no i dont attempt or do any burnouts! lol

Being new to the MB brand I'm always a bit concerned when I see these threads that mention mechnical and electrical failures. My car has been near perfect since picking it up last summer, but one has to wonder.

Will we start seeing signatures that list major repairs after the mods, perhaps like this?

2002 C32 Pewter

Mods:
Pulley and chip;
lowered;
20% tint;
illuminated door sills;
power folding mirrors (Steve)

Failures:
Tranny failure (replaced);
radiator failure (replaced);
seat heater falure (replaced);
electrical system gremlins (repaired);
supercharger failure (replaced).
