antenna Removal

How do i remove the antenna on the back windsheild???

Ive searched the forum cant find anything.

Any insight?

My guess is that no good will come of any attempt to remove said item.

To paint and install correct with a roof spoiler.

Not sure, what type of spoiler are you installing? They do make them with the option for the antenna. Have you found any of those? This would make things a whole lot easier.

It's just held by double sided tape. I bought one from the dealer before and then it got stolen. I guess someone yanked it off.

I knocked mine off and replaced it a couple of years ago...I think the base was $35. When I purchased it the parts man at the dealer thought there was an error listed for the price. "Nothing from MB is that cheap"

It's only glued to the glass. I'ts supposed to help cell phone and Telaid reception. I tested Telaid and cell reception with it off and found no difference but have been told in weak signal areas it would help. I dunno.
