How soft is our stock suspension? haha

Well today was the last day of school for me...finally...spring break...after all that work (ugh)...
I usually keep a box in my trunk...to hold my books/binder/school supplies and all...I took that box out today (making room for the coolers, beach blankets, etc )...and when I took the box full of stuff out (probably 5 textbooks of 500 pages...4 1" binders...2 flashlights...bottle of water...) the car seemed to have raised a lot...
I remember that with the box in...my rear fender-to-tire clearance was just perfectly a 2 finger gap...when I took the box out...it was a 3-1/2 finger gap!!

Random post...just wondering though...is our stock suspension really that soft in the rear's? Assuming this is for the luxury portion of our cars...but dang...I will re-consider having a full car again...haha

On the way back from a recent trip to Foxwoods casino in CT, I noticed a pre 2000 E-Class driving on the highway with his rear almost scraping the ground, I don't know if perhaps he had some bodies in the back or not? I had had my car about a month at the time and thought to myself, there is no way that is normal. This is probably irrelavent, however I thought I'd share..

on a coupe, the rear feels soft, I have a system in the back, custom box with two real heavy audiobahn 10's. My rear looked low when my car was stock height, my *** was no longer waiving high in the back, twas my front that look liked a jeep

That's it...I'm sick of this Jeep-like fender-to-tire gap....guys...I'm laying down rice bags somewhere in my engine bay...I'll take pics when I'm done with this mod.
