18 Rims and Tires and vibration

I have a 2001 C240 and I am debating on upgrading my Bordeaux Red car with 18 rim and tires. I saw some on Fleabay I was interested in. I don't want to spend a lot of money so they would be perfect, however a friend of mine says I need to worry about vibration.

Can anyone give some advise to this?

Here are the rims and tires:

Any advise would be great.

Thanks for the info. Not your style...cool. From the money standpoint, do you know of any options? Like I said, don't really want to spend more than 1K on it.

That's a pretty good deal for $840. If you plan to upgrade your brakes in the future I would check the clearance. Doesn't look like it'll clear C32 brembo's.

Btw, if you do get these, I would really like to know how you like them. I am interested in rims and tires for around 800.

1k is a pretty decent amount to spend, like, on classifieds, a guy is selling some TSW bremma-like AMG reps for 300. then you can find a OK set of tires for about another 350 or so. that'll only be 650!

Whoever your friend is, I would stop taking his advice when it comes to cars! Vibration? There are certain components that come into play when talking about "vibration". Common problems resulting in "vibration" would be from wheel spacers (usually generic spacers), alignment, tire/wheel balance, bad bushings.

I would stop listening to your "friend", if your friend doesn't have much experience with this stuff. Either that, or you're just not explaining it like your "friend" had.

Haha here we go... Get 19's, drop your car, get facelift parts, tint your windows, remove the front plate (if you have one) - the MBworld special.

The rims are decent for the price. The rims along with the tires now give the car a bit of a sporty look. It is a decent upgrade for 840.00 to your door. I did have a little issue because I didn't realize that I would need shorter Lug Nuts so when I first mounted them I used the original and they were hitting the emergency brakes in the back. I them bought 12X1.5 and still too long. I had to buy 12X1 and that worked.

So without breaking my pocket, I am happy.

You wouldn't believe what just happend. I had my daughter move my Lexus IS250 and she hit the side of her Honda Accord backing out. Clip the passenher front fender to the driver back of her car! Plans? yeah fix the bumper! Just yelled at her and I now feel a lil bad!

I really don't have too much plans. Too old and too many expenses right now. Just bought the honda for my daughter and now I have to fix the IS.

The only thing I have done is added an amp and 2 10' woofer in a box in the back. I have the stock radio with a CD Changer in the glove.

I really dont want to mess around with the engine or suspension since I have an extended warranty. It is covered until Oct 2009 or 100k, no deductible. Pretty sweet Ext. Warranty with Mercury. The car is 2001 and has 69K on it and it is a manual 6 speed.

Maybe when I get closer to the end will I start messing around with it.
