2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
Lets start off with what it is NOT. It is not DOT 4+. You can buy that in many places. ATE racing blue or gold is not any good in a C class either.
It is a special low viscosity formula designed to work in the tiny passages in the ABS circuits. Some companies that sell to independent repair shops carry the Mercedes brake fluid. They sell it for about $ 20 per liter. $ 17 at the dealer sounds pretty good.
This ATE SL6 fluid, available from a sponsor, is $ 14 per liter, and appears to be similar to Mercedes fluid. But for $ 3, I think I'll stick with factory packaging.

And there is no need for 2 threads.

We're talking seventeen dollars right? No zero's in that number.
Not even a need for one thread. Probably the LEAST expensive thing you will ever buy for your benz.
Give us a break. You've got nearly 100 threads and all of them are like
"how much does this weigh" (on the car you own, like your wheels? and a whole slew of seperate threads on weights of other stuff, maybe you need to get a scale?)
"what tires are best" (stff and take do some research on tirerack)
"which royal purple oil should i use" (go to their website, or call their tech support!)
"how do I remove the grab handles"
(this can be accomplished easily and you just need a screwdriver and to spend a few minutes actually looking at it from INSIDE THE CAR, instead of posting new threads on your computer, tabs pull down, handle come out!)
You really need to do some SEARCHING, and as you have sooo many questions, you should also think to invest the 70-80 on the W203 Service DVD. (1800formercedes) Most of the stuff you question, is covered here or can be found on google.
You've been around long enough, but perhaps you need to look HERE.
Maybe you could find something interesting to SHARE with everyone here instead of only requesting info that can be in most cases, easily found.
As the old saying goes, it's better to give than receive.
Take the time to help someone else.
