Removing front headrests

How do u guys remove the front headrests on a C200K. I've read all 400 pages of the manual n there's nothing in there about removal of front headrests. It only shows the rear headrests which is the usual push on release button at bottom of the chrome legs n just pull it right off. Mine's the manual headrest type without any electronics.

Not too sure with 07 because you have neck-pro. I know in pre 07 vehicles without a motorized head rest you simply recline the seat far enough that you can pull the head rest all the way out.

On the 2006+ cars, you have to remove the two torx screws on the bottom of each seat back and remove the seat back. You'll see a metal clip on the end of one of the rods that hold up the headrest. Remove the metal clip, undo the neck-pro wiring and then the headrest will come out.

Quick word of caution: don't put the key in with the neck-pro wiring disconnected!! You will throw a SRS error.

Arghhhh I tried reclining the seat all the way back n pulling on the headrests while pressing the release button but it doesnt work. I dont think my headrests have the Neck Pro system as it's not a motorised headrest. It's a fully manual headrest on a seat with motorised seat back n bottom. Any1 got any other ideas??

It would help you two to go to the correct forum.

I don't know how different the W204s are, but you're better off to not take any advice from this forum without checking yours first.

No problemo. :-)
Really, though - any advice here should be taken with a grain of salt until you can verify that your newer gen c classes are similar in that particular area.
