installed Schatz tips, question for you guys -

Just put on the Shatz tips, and i love em. I was wondering if you guys do anything to protect them from getting stolen. I mean..these are over a hundred dollars in value...quite a big ebay payoff for some small time thieves. When i used to have an integra...stuff got jacked all the time. ...lights, exhaust tips, emblems, you name it.

Or maybe perhaps the mercedes owners are a different clientelle to begin with so that in itself is protection enough from stuff getting stolen. Thoughts anyone?

i think you should be okay...the most jacking i heard of was the clear bumper lenses. if your really concerned, put a thin bead of weld on the bottom of the tips. then they won't move.

I agree, if you want to be super safe, you might wanna weld them. Safest way to ensure it wont fall off during driving and to prevent thieves from stealing them.

agree with anto and vik...

if you're not going to take it off again u might as well just weld them so you don't have to worry about getting stolen.

I think that you'll find that most products that come from Europe have been upped at most stores due to the rise in the strength of the Euro and the fall of the US dollar. Even Performance Products has had to shift its prices upwards (quite a bit in some cases).

just keep checking the bolts...make sure they're tight.

I've had mine for almost a year and they haven't fallen off or been ripped off.
