The mirror panel is held on by a spring. Just tug on it and it should pop off. Be careful with the microphone wiring. I removed the dome light before removing the mirror.

Hi all,
I removed the mirror similar to the way shown in the video above, and now I am not able to put it back in.
I have 2002 c230 (or w203). The spring in the mirror is too stiff and I have no idea about what is going where. I took it to a mechanic friend and he tried it but no success; he said he has never done mercedes before, nor a mirror like this, he couldn't figure it out. I really appreciate if anyone can explain how to put it back in.
It is shown in the video above but there is no way to put it that easy I am sure. I hope someone can help me figure this out.

Can you tell me how to re-install interior rearview? I feel like I need a hydraulic jack to force the spring on the mirror back through (engage & lock) its support bracket.; Thanks.
