'02 C320 Wagon to C32 Conversion

I was just thinking...has anyone put a C32 powertrain into a C320 (wagon)? Can this be done? Anyone got any info on this? I was just thinking after I get my wife another car, I might take would take over the wagon. Maybe find a totaled C32 with a good powetrain and do the swap. It would make a great sleeper.

i know a few members have put the c32 engine into a coupe don't know about sedan/wagon remember anything is possible with enough cash. i would ask the members that have done it to the coupes and see how much they roughly put into it and go from their. in Europe they had a c32 wagon so it is possible. and since the wagon and sedan are identical as far as i know in the front it should be pretty easy to get it in. the electronic side of things though might be fun.

its possible but it would be cheaper if you just traded in the c320 wagon and got another wagon with more power.

wont a kleemann supercharger give you the same results (since you are not getting a Full AMG car, so no brakes, suspension... changes)
??

Thanks guys. I was more or less thinking out loud. The chances that I'm going to do this aren't real high, but it is a possibility (especially if I happen upon a deal on a totalled C32). Anyone have a price on the Kleeman kit? The nice thing about going the C32 route is all the other upgrades that I might be able to transfer also (transmission, brakes, interior). Plus, then I could just pull off the "0" on the back of the car.

i think the kleeman supercharger is around $7500. I think its suppose to bring you up to around 330hp to the crank.

...a panty dropper...
One Wagon that comes to mind is MIDO's. His project wagon has a beast of an engine in it. Check it out, there is a thread in the C32 section and I believe its called "Winter Project 700-800hp" I think. GL with the project if you go through with it but def get with PSHEK beforehand and pick at his brain on the swap.

If I went the Kleeman route, do you think the transmission/diff would handle the additional hp/tq?

If I did the C32 swap, I'd transfer over as much as possilble.

You mean buying the Kleeman supercharger for you N/A engine? If so it would be cheaper to just swap the engine out to a C32 engine IMO. Or you can find a C32 Wagon for sale and trade your car in for it along with the money you have for the swap.

the Kleemann S/C was made to work with the C320/240 Diff and Tranny... the thing is if you SWAP in the C32 AMG Engine you may need to get the C32 AMG diff, tranny & ECU.. i think...

Just hold on a little longer (save some extra cash) and when time comes get an E55/E63 Wagon and call it a day.

I don't think C32 wagons were brought into the US.

An E55 or E63 wagon would be very cool, but also a lot more $. If I did this, I would be looking at $5k-$10k total.

That's not bad. I thought it would be a lot of money for the conversion. I heard the 55 and 63 wagons are very hard to find (pretty rare).

For my budget, I'd be looking at a wrecked C32. I've seen complete C32s selling in the low teens and even lower.

follow up to this... anybody ever do it? I'm sourcing a good body wagon and C32 to do the swap myself. I have an E55, CLK55 and C320 4matic wagon already so this would be something else for fun
