Anyone know how to remove the light switch????
I need to remove the whole light switch(pic below) someone with a c32 removed his(its the one in pic) He said it was only held on with 2 clips inside(silver piece in pic.) I Just need to take the fuse panel off and press in clips and remove. Well after pulling at this for over an hour, cutting up my hands and almost breaking the switch, i found that a screw is holding it in. I can see thread coming up where it is circled. It doesn't look like you can get to it, without taking off that part of the dash...
Anyone know how to take this off??

I can’t recall right now exactly how many screws are there but I know there is more than one, could be 3 and just one is screwed to the switch. Try one by one. Those picture are from C class 2007, could be a bit different on 2005.

I believe those 2 screws you see are for removing parking brake housing where you connect parking brake (PB) cable with release handle and they are in horizontal position. The one that holds light switch is in vertical position and can’t be removed just by pulling brake release handle. You have to disconnect PB cable from PB handle and PB handle will slide out, then you’ll be able to see and remove "troublemaker" screw

Here's a pic of the 2 screws: (sorry its blurry, from blackberry)
1. so i have to take out those screws
2. disconnect PB cable from handle
3. pull out the PB handle
from here i should be able to see that screw holding in the switch, through the hole that the pb handle is in.
1 question, how do you disconnect the pb cable from the handle?
Thanks!

do you know how many screws are holding on that fuse panel??
I think i should be able to figure out the brake cable. I just gotta take the fuse panel off cuz there is no way my hand can fit in there...
