I love the 7G Transmission!!!

Waz up guys,

So as most of you have heard my Chinese Clone Multiplexer was blacklisted. An idiot with ADHD and electronics don't go to well together. So I started playing around with it and corrupted DAS. I had the blacklist fix but never used it because my ADHD told me to continue messing with root files . I then reinstalled everything and it's good as new. I wrote a script so my date always stays the same at startup so it never expires and I don't have to go through the timeout BS again.

Long story short I plugged my car to DAS and this time didn't remove adaptations but went for a drive doing adaptations. I did my shifts and torque converter. MAN DO I LOVE THE 7G MORE THAN EVER. The throttle response that I once thought was the problem for me ended up being the torque converter!! Now the gears hold well and downshifts are perfect. It's soo precise now. While accelerating slowly it would shift gears but now it holds until I leave off the pedal. I use to have to floor the pedal so the gears wont shift. Now with just a little moderate gas (normal driving for me) it hold the gears. I feel now me and the transmission get along fine .

The people who have sat in my car know that's it's completely different than any C350...the pin to the seat at higher RPM (past 4k). They can vouch that litterally the car feel like it's boosting. Starts off slow (atleast for me) and once it gets past 3k RPM it starts to pull SICKKK!!! Now I feel that more than ever. It might be the tune or it might be the headers..I really don't know what it is but I love it more than ever especially with the new taming of the transmission

I remember Eric had a thread about it's been 2 years and he loves his C350 more and more. Same with me I love this debadged biatch (almost 2 years I have owned her...Feb). Gives the G35 guys a run for their money.

Sorry I know half of you guys don't give a shyt I just needed to get my excitement out. I'm going to soon treat her with a nice tranny service which she definitely needs (55,7xx miles). Altough I drove Milkman's 6MT C230 and I feel it's an awsome combo and I hated my tranny I'm starting to like mine too...but not more than a 6MT but it's pretty close. 6MT as Matt says you really feel connected with the car with 7G and tamed you really can't go wrong.

Her name is Komodia (Komodia- A Greek Goddess of happiness and amusement)

Edit:
Adding gallons/miles left on IC tutorial coming soon (request). I can't find it so i'll make a new one now.

I really wish someone would add the gallons left on my IC.. sigh.

I am glad you are enjoying your car now. The 7G transmission seemed OK on C350 cars but I don't like it with the 230.

6MT FTW.

I agree, I totally understand what you mean when you said "connected with the car". It was a total awesome experience.

You are crazy Karo.

Glad you got STAR fixed, and relearned adaptations on the 7G.

Huh? Bkacklisted? How? What did you let your software hit a server on the internet? What mean ADHD ?
And btw, aren't you in the SF Bay area? You no longer list your location.

STAR is updated with all the latest data anytime you are connected to the internet. This is a good thing, as you then have the latest and greatest data from MB. When they roll out these software updates, they also regularly check the serial number of the multiplexer that is used, and compile a list of known clone multiplexers. Then, if you have a multiplexer that matches any of the known clone multiplexers, it will blacklist that multiplexer, and it will no longer communicate with STAR.

But, behold the power of the internet and software pirates, that post "DAS fix" files, that instantly UN-blacklist your previously blacklisted multiplexer

Great Karo. When a 7G is right & you have learned to get on with one another (it is a learning curve) - they are great trannys.

+1. You really do have to retrain yourself when driving a 7G equipped car.
