How to reset/clear SRS code?
My windshield wipers stopped working so I brought the car to a local mechanic who works on Mercedes.
He replaced the mutli-control switch in the steering wheel and the wipers now work.
The problem is the message screen keeps posting an SRS alert and so far he's been unable to clear it.
I believe he disconnected the battery to work on the car.
Any Suggestions as what could be the problem?
Thanks Jkw

SRS warning light must be reset by Star Diagnostic System at a dealer or local shop who would charge at least 1 hour of labor to clear it. Or, you could buy Carsoft Multiplexer online and do it your self.
I did some DIY on my 2002 C240, disconnected the battery and the SRS warning light came on. I didn't want to take the car to a dealer or local shop. I ordered Carsoft and PCMCIA serial port card for my laptop last week.
Unless I really have problem with SRS sensor, Carsoft should reset the code. When Carsoft is delivered this week, I will work on it. Let me know if you want more information.

I replaced turn signal stalk earlier this year. There are two connections in the back of the air bag. If they are not pushed back securely, SRS light will be on.
I suggest check those two connections again. Your shop should be able to reset the light afterward.

Got my Carsoft multiplexer from alpha-bid.
I received the product four days after it was shipped.
Installed the software and found no virus.
Ran the software and found the following three errors that were causing SRS warning lights.
B107C The communication with the TELE AID control unit is disturbed or cable error.
B1075 The CAN Communication is disturbed.
B107A Airbag and EZS control unit coding : not plausible.
Erased the errors. Ran Airbag scan again. Status OK ! Yahoo~
Service B is due in 2k miles. I'll use it again to reset the service reminder.

It is $105.77 + shipping from alphabid and $105.09 with free shipping from dealextreme. Alphabid is in U.S. but, not dealextreme. I would recommend to get it from alphabid eventhough you have to pay for the shipping cost. Dealextreme would take longer.
Also, some users who ordered the multiplexer from dealextreme were complaining about viruses on their reviews. Read it for yourself. That's why I got it from alphabid. It had no virus.

You need to buy PCMCIA serial port card if your laptop does not have a serial port. That's another $20~$30.
