C 200 K Auto Estate
W203 c200k will not start
have 2002 C 200 K which will not start all the ignition lights all come on but the engine will not turn over also the auto gearbox is locked in the park position. No faults are displayed on the warning display. The RAC started the car by jumping the starter to the battery. Any one got any ideas.

Check fuse 52 in the front SAM. Make sure it's not blown & make sure it is 20amp. 15 amp originally fitted. Benz DTB in this regard. Blown fuse 52 inhibits cranking.
You might also have an interlock problem if the the shifter is locked in Park. Check brake switch on pedal for your model.
Fuses 31, 52 & 57 are the start enable fuses.
You might also have a dead starter relay in cavity S of the front SAM.

I had the same problem but a simple battery change solved it...I just removed the 12 year old battery and got it properly tested first though...it's free too.
