I beleive the ball park your looking for is 8 to 8.5 quarts.

Check your owners manual it'll tell you the amount with oil filter change and without.

Remember to check the oil level electronically afterwards quickly to see if you put enough in.

I recently had the Stealer****s do an oil change on my C240, figured they had the mental capacity to at least do an oil change correctly, but I was wrong. Apparently Mobil 1 5W40 oil (Q-1-09-0144) is approved for this engine type, so that's fine. The point is, I don't know why I waited this long, but two weeks after the oil change, I decided to fireup dynomode on the computer to see an accurate measure of oil, and it read 6.7 quarts on a completely cold engine. So I thought to myself...this can't be right and poured in an additional quart of Mobil 0W-40. Now it's at somewhere between 7.5 and 7.7 quarts, which is ideal for this engine. I guess this can serve as a warning for the rest of the newbs out there...always check your measurements... Last edited by Crna Mechka; 07-07-2011 at 07:57 PM. |
