Transmission shifts too early
2004 C230 Kompressor
Mostly noticeable in 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd, the transmission shifts way too early. Sometimes in 1-2 it is so early that it has a little kick. This causes me to press the gas more and most likely waste MPGs.
I've done the reset where you hit the throttle in position 2? for 5 seconds, then position 0 and let off and wait ~2 min and it doens't help this specifically.
Is there some type of reprogramming that can be done? Preferably not by the dealership because of $$$

STAR can reset adaptations. I'm not sure if unplugging the battery can do it (or if it can, if it is worth the risk).
The transmission is adaptive. If you drive it harder it will learn. Also, you can use the touch shift controls if that works for you.

Run in S mode. If you are not happy have all adaptions reset with Star.
