You are going to love the 6sp! The ratios are nice and tight and give your great control in pretty much any RPM band. I sometimes feel I need to shift very often to stay on the power, but given the extra liter you have on me with the 350, it will be much more enjoyable. Also I recommend starting in second if the temp ever drops below freezing. The tolerances from 1st to second are very tight, and until the tranny oil gets up to temp, 1st to 2nd is not all that pretty lol.

I heard awhile back it could. This would be around 8psi at the start. I would most likely never go past 15psi if I built the motor. I know a company that was going to work with me to make a stronger clutch but if the tranny cant take it whats the point.

You have that too huh...the "ccchhhtunk" into second when it is freezing cold?...When I have to, I stay in first as long as I can to warm it up...In the morning, out of the garage - it is fine...Glad I am not alone...I hate that shift!

I think the manuals are the same. I believe I heard my mechanic say that, but I could be completely wrong. I think the powertrain is just about the same on both, with the differences being displacement and perhaps a few other things, again I am not positive.
I would like to think the tranny could hold the extra 68 hp increase from the 230 to the 350

Yea you are most definitely not alone. It was much worse before February of last year, that's when I changed the transmission fluid as well as changing the fluid level. After talking to my mechanic, he recommended placing in EXACTLY 1.2 quarts of fluid back into the transmission after a change. Since it is a manual transmission, the gears are only partially submerged and spin through the oil instead of being almost fully submerged like most autos (so not as much oil is needed). After changing the tranny and diff fluid, the 1st to 2nd shift was much better. It is by no means a smooth shift, but it is better than it was before. Changing the diff fluid also made more of an improvement than I thought it would.
