3 for sale?
I was too late for the group buy but I'd love to see all of my screen this summer so if I can grab one post-testing it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks anyways, trey, as some are happy and pleased to get something fix. Either this or drop a few hundred with the dealership. Or they can drive with a black screen. Either way, even with this hardship mishap of some bad batch, it would still be cheaper all around.
Again, thanks. At least I wouldn't have done this, knowing this maybe be the outcome. So you would be the bigger man than I would be.

Out Of Control!!
I think that Trey knows how we're all appreciative of his work on this group buy.
It is a bit frustrating to go through this and not have them all work out. I did not expect Trey to test these out before sending them out. I guess C230SC is a little more demanding.
You'd have to get a whole new cluster, then get it programmed, if you went through a dealer - that's certainly more than a few hundred.

You seem to have misunderstood my comment.
As a technology person, and someone who has some experience in QA QC,
I was only commenting on the unfortunate quality issues with the product and the vendor.
Please don't imprint your negative feelings on my comment
and make it sound like I'm saying something I'm not.
I patiently await my replacement screen without complaint.
I would have a word or 2 to say to the mfg. if anyone knew who that was
but Trey is doing everything he should and can to make it right,
and as Tommy pointed out, we all appreciate it.
Especially those of us who got non-functional screens, which
does NOT include you.

haha. Okay. Point taken.
I did get a screen. I had the first screen in this forum to buy, install and tested. Didn't know there was a problem until this mass order.
As for myself, I paid double of what you guys paid when I bought mine.
Oh well..

Not yet sadly I emailed the woman today but figure the package should be there today or tomorrow so we shall see. The tracking number has not been updated since the 4th in Chicago but I know that they usually don't say anything once they leave the USA until they are delivered.

I had a package recently that I was sending to Texas have the same thing, it went from here, to I think Indy, which makes sense, then to Chicago, then to Texas....
The motto for shipping companies should be..
It will get there, when it gets there, via timbuktu...
Still no problems with my screen, looks great. Hope everyone gets a working replacement.
Trey, still would like to have you hook up Star to my car again sometime to see if any new codes were recorded, the past few weekends have been crazy for me. I am taking my daughter to Kings Dominion on Saturday and my wife is out at a convention this weekend. Maybe next sunday if your around?
Thanks again.

Yes, I grew weary of Dr. Evil.
You bettah get to the choppah!
I was watching like Arnold's top 100 one liners the other day on U tube.
In one, he's just arrived on Mars. An attractive woman walks over,
grabs his crotch, and says "Whataya been feedin' this thing lately"
Arnold replies cooly... "Blonds"
I think Tommy is the only guy who still has his original avatar as far back
as I can remember.
I was 'smurfing' the classifieds and saw a nice smurfey blue Carlson pulley kit, it was sold a few months ago. I know he'd be happy just knowing it's there. It even had a blue idler pulley, and blue water pump pulley, but oddly not a alternator pulley.
Isn't the water pump driven off the other belt?

Haha the same thing happened to me when I saw sport coupes comment somewhere else and I was trying to figure out who it was for the longest time. More on topic though, I just wanted to say to all of you who got not working screens that I hope it works out for you guys, it must of sucked. Cool of you trey to do this group buy also. I was about to get in on it but my screen isn't to bad right now, I asume during summer its going to get pretty bad though and then I will probably have to get one which will probably cost me alot more then what most of you guys paid.
Good luck to all of you!

Anybody having issues with the screen partially faded? My screen sometimes it is fully lit, but sometimes 1/5 of the left side is slightly dimmer. The connection seems nice and tight, any ideas/advice? Thanks.

If so, then you are experiencing the LED that sometimes fail to turn on. It comes and goes. Unfortunately, it can't be fixed easily without soldering.
If you look, there are some picture from group buy buyer after his installation shows a line or this 1/5 of the left side is slightly dimmer.

Thanks! I thought I went through all the posts, saw the loose connection and the voltage issues, but must have skipped this particular one. My apologies! Too bad, enough to irritate me lol.
