HID Kit or Plug and Play HID'S?

What's a good HID kit? On ebay there are tons of them. If I get an HID kit, which is a good brand? Should I get the plug & play HID's?

Whether you're interested in retrofitting (purchasing HID projectors, ballast, and bulbs) or just adding a plug-and-play HID kit to replace your halogen bulbs, consider:

http://www.theretrofitsource.com

Some, myself included, have tried with mixed results: http://ddmtuning.com/

I've ordered a kit with CANBUS error cancelers from The Retrofit Source.

Those d2s are the exact same ones I have for my c240, but with white/chrome housing.
I personally love them. The only problem is after installation, if my light switched is switched to "auto" during the day time, they flicker. So I just leave them on.

did you have your car's computer programmed to xenons? I read somewhere that you have to switch to that mode for it stop flickering.

I'll take some tomorrow and post them for you. Like I mentioned, I currently am running the DDM Tuning 55w H7 at 8k, but have flicker issues and have replaced a ballast. I've ordered the Morimoto Elite 5FIVE 50w H7 at 6k, but am awaiting shipment.

Here is mine. They are the factory look ones, not the black tinted ones. But the projector will be the same. I like them.

Just completed the install of the Morimoto 5FIVES (50w) 6k kit with CANBUS harness. Very impressed with the construction of the kit. I replaced the Morimoto Elite 6k HID kit with the DDM Slim Kit 8k which was throwing the passenger light out bulb error - despite mounting the ballast on the radiator support; replacing a ballast and checking connections, I still had the error.

So far through initial testing (car on and then turn on lights & car off, lights on, then car on) there are no BOW errors with the Morimoto kit. I ordered from The RetroFit Source.

you can use whatever color you want. Get a 5000K you wont be disappointed. But your best bet is to call theretrofitsource themselve and tell them what you want and they will guide you. If you choose to get a 55w kit get the 6000K because all bulbs(most bulbs) color rating are based on a 35W ballast. So if you are using a 55W ballast and you want a 5000K look. Get th 6000k. But if you really want to get creative get the Morimoto H1 kit. Now thats a nice kit! If you look through the forum you can see me with the Morimoto h1 projector kit and it was a real easy install

I am starting to regret getting 8000k ones. When its raining or foggy I can barry see anything, Its not to much worst then halogen ones in my opinion but not nearly as bright as 5000ks would be. But in the future if you decided you want to get a whiter or bluer one all you have to do is change the bulb which only cost $10-$20
