C230K Coupe (M111) Map sensor???
Hello, I was gonna do a trottle body cleaning when I noticed that my MAP sensor is sitting on one of the 4 pipes that go to the side of the engine.
It is being held by 2 screws on both sides of the sensor. The odd thing that I've noticed was, there is nothing connected to that little plastic tube on the belly of the MAP sensor.
Is there supposed to be a rubber hose connected to that tube on the belly of the MAP sensor? If there is, when can I locate the source? I looked pretty much around the surrounding areas but no luck.
Anyway, my engine runs fine, I don't get any error at all.
Can someone give some input into this?
Thank you

I run those numbers written on top of it (A 004 153 33 28) over the internet and confirmed that in fact that is the MAP sensor. But how can it sense the preasure when no hose connected to manifold? Shouldn't it be connected like a vacuum/boost gauge configuration? Also, why is it not trigerring the MIL to indicate error? There must be some explanation why it is setup like this and makes the engine run fine.

Map sensor(s)
This is getting weirder and weirder. As I was looking for the rubber hose that I thought supposed to be connected to my Map sensor, I found another Map sensor. It is located on the intake manifold just below the throttle body. Both of them have wire harness connected to them. The first one I found doesn't have any hose connected to the intake manifold. The second one, I think it is connected directly to intake manifold. I wonder why I have 2 of them? Do you guys have any idea?

I'm looking at the same thing. Was searching for a disconnected hose to plug into the MAP sensor on the side of the engine. Did not realise there was a SECOND map sensor on throttle body.
Have you found an answer to why there is no hose on the 1st MAP sensor ?

i have the same issue....there is no connector from the wiring harness to the map !!!
and also there is no pressure sensor!!!!
only a rubber plugger!!
but i have a check engine and a code concerning the b28 (intake manifold pressure sensor fault)!!
can anyone explain that to us?
