Yes thanks for asking... everyone is alright. She has a small cut on her lip and some neck pain but all is well. Still waiting on the estimator to take a look at it.. had it for a little over a year only has 27,000 miles..

Don't know if it'll be totaled, depends if the subframe was damaged but since the air bag was deployed maybe. depends on your insurance and how they go about, if its cheaper to repair it or cut you a check for it.

They cut you a check for the calculated value of the car if it's above the cost of repairs. They could care less how much you owe, unfortunately.

ACV after tax on that car with that mileage is around 23000. I ran a value on one just like that a few weeks ago with more mileage. Probably not a total. But I wrote a dummy estimate from what I see and its at 7800

If they do end up repairing it it would be a good opportunity to get euro impact strips. You could buy them on the form for 60 unpainted off gary and them have them paint those instead of new impact strips if thats something you would like. Think of the bright side, no one was hurt, it doesn't seem like its going to be your fault because you said the other person rain a stop sign, plus its a good opurtunity to get some mods out of it and some fresh paint.

Carlos... That's pretty rough! Only 27K miles!? I'm glad your girlfriend wasn't hurt. Actually, I hope the guy who hit her wasn't hurt, too (and had lots of insurance!).

i'm looking at the hood and how it's barely buckled into not even close to an angle(unless u sat on it right after u saw it, like i did when i lightly rear-ended an suv while i was slowly creeping under 5mph last year), it looks like the force of impact(although hard enough to injure a driver) was not hard enough to damage the engine? if so, then maybe they won't declare total damage for it? but then again the left front bumper does look badly damaged from the force of impact on the front. i dunno, whatever it is good luck to u. don't lose hope if u really love your car man. hang in there.

if he has a lien on the vehicle and its declared a total loss they will not let him keep the vehicle. They will take it and cut him a check... well the lien holder first of course. But more then likely your vehicle is not a total loss.

Wow sucks to see your car like this. I know how you feel though. I was just getting my mods together and about a month ago I too got into a car crash. Some B**** ran a stop sign but since I tried to dodge her I just damaged the right side headlight bumper grille and hood. Still looks similar to yours...hope you get a nice check and it's not totaled!

Your 05 C230K and his 07 C230 do not have the same engine, not even close.
