Damnit I thought so. Is the bumper actually different from the luxury or just those pieces? I'm just trying to figure out how to change it because mine just isn't cutting it. BTW I'll post my wheels soon as to not throw this too far off-topic.

Questions: would these be a good alternative to the OEM camber bolts?: http://pannauto.com/spc_performance/...r/g-62332.aspx

Or am I better off with just getting them from RMeuropean? If so how many do I need? I just recently got back into doing stuff to my car. Moving to England and traveling have taken up alot of my time =)

Current Specs:
2004 230K
BC Racing BR Coilovers
nothing else... Lol

you really need the fluted for the fronts. to use the other bolts youre gonna have to drill out the hole to make it fit

Ok guys, I have an 04 sport sedan and want to lower it. Problem is I can't afford coilovers so I was going to go with springs. All of the spring kits I find keep the front sitting a bit to high. I want equal fender gap. Will I have to end up cutting the front springs 1/2 coil on the kit I buy??? Or is there another option when purchasing the springs. I've honestly looked at every retailers kit and the front always seems 1/2" to high! Anyways, thanks in advance

Front will always look high because the arches are higher than the rears so it gives the illusion of it being higher.

to get what you want you'll have to cut springs. I say save up and get coilovers instead of cutting springs. That or you can raise up the rear with a thicker rear pad to make it what you want. Just remember when you lower the car on stock struts/shocks they're gonna wear out pretty quick so you'll end up having to replace them sooner than later because the strut/shock doesn't get full travel on lowered springs so the they are continuously on load causing them to wear out faster.

K, that's def what I needed. My question for cutting the springs is how to do it successfully to prevent failure. Any specific way to cut them to........A: keep the spring from slipping the cup........B: to get it to seat correctly via the angle of cut. I was thinking half a coil? I'm assuming I would keep the CUT angle the same as the factory cut? Thanks phister

You want to cut the top of the spring, never the bottom. Do it in half coil at a time because it does drop it quite a bit. Just cut straight down. Make sure to paint the cut end with rust preventing paint

Make sure you don't cut them with a torch you'll mess up the properties of the metal with soo much heat. It's not necessary but even with a grinder or such I'd personally have a lot of water nearby to keep the spring as cool as possible.

Im not sure why we are even having this conversation!!! Please do not cut your springs! Surely you can afford some inexpensive coil-overs.... they are less than $1000 shipped to your door! Again, please dont cut your springs. It is a terrible idea.

Agreed but at the same time if you're gonna do something wrong at least make it somewhat safe.

Why is my 19x8.5 with a 32 offset and a set of 15mm spacers still rubbing on my strut?
